Okay. I went to interview #1. It was for the position of Bar Supervisor. After being impressed by my cv, the manager of said establishment stated that he was also looking for a head chef and that I was exactly what he was looking for and would I be interested. Who was I to say no to such a good chance?!
The establishment has just been bought over after being closed for two years. It's being completely refurbished with all new staff. I will have my own kitchen, two chefs under me and a kitchen porter. Go me!
I'm well excited and can't wait to start. Looks like my life is finally falling into place.
Oh, I never went to interview #2. Would you've?!

Nostalgia.
Well, I've managed to line up a couple of interviews tomorrow. Wooo! No college again. Ooops.
One job is a chef in a nursing home about 10 or so miles from my house, the other is supervisor in a pub about 6 miles from my house in the other direction!.
Because of my health, I've put on a stack of weight in the last six months. Ergo, I have nothing to wear to either of them! I'm thinking I might've packed the 'Spanx' already. Any help would be appreciated ladies.
On another note, looking through all the stuff that came from the loft brought back some memories! Good and bad! I forgot that I was a mad teapot collector! I have loads!! Seem to have grown out of that now so a visit to eBay might be in order for all those other mad tea pot people! I don't even like tea! Oh the irony.
I found loads of stuff I thought I'd thrown out so I believe eBay will be seeing a lot of it. What I did enjoy looking over was school books, calendars, cards and all the other stuff the kids made when at school. Nostalgia!!
I even allowed daughter #1 to read through my diaries. She loved that bit!
Great weather today too. I hate the cold so it suits me perfectly.

That Awkward Moment....
Continuing on from my last post, I'm not a good sleeper at the best of times but I'm a drunk sleeper. I was awakened on Sunday morning by rumblings in the bathroom. Once I got my head together, I remembered the ex was on my couch. Grabbing my dressing gown, I ran downstairs and there he was, phoning yet another taxi! Anyway, to quote the kids on facebook.....'That awkward moment when' it was time to say bye. It was fine the night before, a good drink and it's kisses and hugs to everyone but I'm rather more reserved when sober. It was okay considering. A peck on the cheek and a 'be in touch' later and he was away. I still felt the taxi driver thought he was a booty call but maybe that's my paranoia.

The ex.
Well!....I got mt loft cleared. Well, as cleared as a man can do. (daughter #1 is going back up)
But I got the heavy stuff down and it was an Alladin's cave of finds for daughter #1! She found....her first pair of shoes, her high school yearbook and a few other things she wouldn't care to remember. And she thought I was a bad mum?! Hehe. She knows how I feel.
But, hey, the whole ex thing? It was like I'd always spoke to him. Was such a good night.Dropped a major clanger, but I think he forgave me and the night went on!
I invited him to kip on the sofa but he declined. Thank goodness! My sober self couldn't deal with him the next morning! So he paid £16 for the ten mile taxi journey home.
Well......Lying in bed, getting sleepy as one does, my phone rings. I answer it and it's the ex. I thought he was calling to say he had a good night and that he was home safe, but nooooo. This is Medusamum's household and ergo, drama! He was ever so polite in saying...."are my house keys in your kitchen?" To which I replied "Oh my gosh! They are!!!" or polite words to the same effect. "Do you have no-one around with spare keys?" 'No' he replied. Shit! I had to take him in!!
As I speak, I'm waiting on him arriving back (in a £16 taxi) to kip on my sofa. Exactly the thing I didn't want!!
Can life get ANY better?!?!
